Update from Kirstin

Patients at the clinic are awesome and so willing to work and get better! I’m loving being here and learning a ton. There’s even something about sleeping outside with nothing but a sheet over my face to keep the mosquitos away and waking up soaked in sweat that I like… I’m just not sure what it is yet!

We’ve begun the long slow process of identifying people who have not returned for therapy in a while. Going to their homes/tents will help us identify how people are doing!
It is great to have Kirstin, Mathieu, and Josh here working in the PT tent. They are hard workers, and we are working well as a team!!!
David (12 years old) told Josh that he shouldn’t leave me in Haiti. Josh asked why not? And David said, “Because a dog never leaves his bone!”

Kirstin has arrived safely! A little honey leaked out into her bag, but didn’t get on her clothes! AND all her luggage arrived with her!! YEAH! Matieu and I are looking forward to the extra PT hand at the clinic!! Thank you for joining us, Kirstin!!

Currently there is a tropical depression that might head towards Haiti. Tomorrow AM, they are having a disaster plan meeting for the residents of Camp Hope. I do not want you to worry about the volunteers for they are in the middle of Haiti. Love A Child Orphanage has solid buildings and has been through many many storms!
